Hi Jonas here,
Today we played Australian Football. It’s like American Football but it’s not as complicated. You try to kick the ball through these tall polls and if you get it through it’s six points. If you hit the post then it’s one point. There are two other goals and if you get it through those then it’s one point.
Also we went to a park and we saw a jumping castle and there was a market. We bought egg and bacon rolls with sweet chili sauce (yum!).
We went to Elliott’s house and we swam in a pool and watched a movie. We also had chocolate fondue and we dipped strawberries and bananas in it!

Hi,
Sounds like it was fun! Was it the football you played the soccer kind or the Australian kind? Greta, is Elliot the kid who was your friend in Australia or one of your first friend of yours in Australia? I miss having you in school and you stopping at our post before you got in line! If I wanted to e-mail you, what e-mail adress would I use? Come home soon and try to get the pictures working. Where are you staying? Also, who are you staying with or are you in a hotel?
Julia
Hi Greta!
How’s it going? It sounds like your having a good time. Is Elliot your best friend in Australia? Are Elliot and his family the only people you are visiting or know in Australia? Did you go to Australia with any cousins? I have never been to Australia and I really want to go! Are there different foods there than we eat here in America? Tell me the day that you are coming back. I miss you so much. I’ll see you soon.

Hello Jonas! Nice lines about the football – but I think the egg/bacon-
rolls sound more like my style…
Anyway – here its hot for being winter…we have around +10C…normally it should be -10C and up to 0C…strange times??!!
Are you staying in Sydney all the time or will you make a tour in and around that enormous continent of Australia?
All for now – greeetings to all of you!
/don Pedro – soon a divemaster!
It sure sounds like you are eating well! Maybe you could teach us how to play Australian football when you return … I think I’ll be a spectator, though. Can’t wait to see pictures!
Hi all! Russell here (wishing I was there). I’ve never heard of Australian football, it sounds really cool. Chocolate fondue????? That’s the melted chocolate you dip food in, right? Sounds delicious. There was GREAT weather here today, but probably nothing compared to Australia. Hey Jonus, i’m not sure if you heard (probably not, but the Yankees signed ANDY PETTITE! What’s a jumping castle? Hope to read another blog tommorow.
ps Chandler is at the Jets game with his Dad. They lost…
Hi Julia and Hannah!
Thanks for your comments!
We played Australian football – it’s a game like soccer but you can use your hands as well as your feet. Elliott was the best friend I had in Australia when we lived here. It was cool to see him again. He plays the violin now. My usual greta@ email address will work. We are staying with our friends Joseph, Sophia and Christopher now. Joseph and Sophia have to wear a uniform for school! My Dad will put up a photo to show you later.
See you, Greta
Dear Peter and Russell,
A jumping castle is an inflatable castle that you can jump on. It’s good that they signed Andy Petitte. How much did he cost? We’re just staying in Sydney but also going to the Blue Mountains which are an hour and a half away.
Jonas
Thanks for answering my comments as well as Hannah’s.Greta, did you know that Isabel is coming on Thursday? Elliot looks so different from the picture I saw from when he was a baby. Is this there summer vacation right now because it is warm there? Who is Sophia and Christopher? Does Elliot have any other siblings that you didn’t meet because you moved? It sounds like you are having a great time and I will right soon!!! What is last part of your e-mail adress? Greta@…????
Julia
P.S. Keep having fun and posting pictures!!!!
P.P.S. Where are you now?
Hi Julia,
Here are the answers to your questions:
Summer vacation for kids is just about to start. Some people (Joseph) have started already.
Sofia and Christopher are Joseph’s siblings. We are staying with them right now.
Elliott has a baby brother called Aaron and a sister called Mia.
