Greta here, we’re going to speak some Australian:
G’day, how youse goin’?
We’re havin’ a bonza time here in Sydney. We went down the beach yesterday and the water had a net to keep out the Noahs Arks. Our spunky host Tone wore his sluggos and thongs. We had a squiz at the tubes but fair dinkum, it was pretty flat. There were heaps of ankle biters on the beach and all of them had slipped, slopped and slapped and wore rashees. Tony built a sandcastle with the ankle biters while my Pommy Dad bludged on the stairs. We all scoffed a bacon sanger with sweet tomato sauce. Luckily there were no blowies.
Translation:
Hi, how are you?
We’re having a great time here in Sydney. We went to the beach yesterday and the water had a net to keep out the sharks. Our handsome host Tony wore his Speedo swimming trunks and flip flops. We checked out the waves but to be honest, there was no surf action. There were lots of kids on the beach, all covered in sun screen and wearing rash vests. Tony built a sandcastle with the kids while my British Dad lazed on the stairs. We all ate a bacon sandwich with sweet pickle. Fortunately, there were no blowflies.
Hej igen!
Ser Ni ngra fina fiskar under vattnet?
So long!/don Pedro
Peter-
Tack for din epost!
Yes, you can snorkel where we are, but we haven’t yet. I saw some fish underwater, but they weren’t exactly beautiful.
Love, Greta
This morning the city of Göeborg and the city of Kungsbacka is flooded! Major highways are closed – no trains or trams work – it so exciting!!!???
I guess Sydney is a better place to be just right now…
So long/don Pedro
Hey Greta. Your blog is awesome — keep up the good work. The most amazing thing I remember from when I came to Sidney to visit you and your parents were the huge, huge, HUGE fruit bats. They were like flying cats. We saw them above us when we were enjoying a lovely and elegant outdoor dinner. It was freaky, like something out of a science fiction movie. Anyway, make sure you see them before you leave. My love to all the Skagerfolk.
