Hi Jonas here,
Yesterday we went to Sydney FCs game at Aussie Stadium. Sydney FC was facing Perth Glory. Perth is a city on the west side of Australia. Sydney FC is a soccer club. In the first half a lot of exciting things happened. There was a professional foul and the captain – Mark Rudan – got sent off – he got a red card! That meant Sydney only had ten men. They took the free kick right outside of the penalty box. It was almost a goal but the Sydney keeper saved it. Perth must have gotten really angry because they fouled a Sydney guy and got a yellow card which means a warning.
In the second half, Perth was getting tired so Sydney broke free to Perth’s side of the field and they shot a lot but the keeper always blocked the goals. Ten minutes from the end Steve Corica crossed it to Alex Brosque and he headed it in for a goal. The crowd was screaming!
I thought the game was pretty good but a lot of players got injured and they had a lot of stoppage time.
[Dadministrator here: We are going to be away from a computer for the next few days so we'll post again and add pictures on Monday 18th.]
Hej! Ni verkar ha det bra – vi måste börja fundera på lite HOAX till februari…!
/P
Wow, guys, sounds like you’re all having a GREAT trip! The picture of the three sisters reminded me of when Uncle David and I were there last, on Greta’s birthday–yeah, the real day of your birth!!! When we returned to Sydney, we went straight to the hospital to meet little (big) Greta, tired and happy Mommy, and bloody and startled Daddy!
Today is the first day of Hanukah, and we all were at Uncle Kenny’s celebrating. Max, Lily and Henry fell asleep in the car coming back; they will write to you tomorrow. We all miss you!!!
Especially Henry, who looks up many times during the day, in the middle of playing cars or puzzles, and inquires “Kai-Kai?,” or “Lena?”
Come back soon!

Hi Everbody…
Yesterday was a fun day.
It started when I went to play basketball. My team won and I almost scored a basket!!
Afterwards, I went to New York City to celebrate hanukah with my cousins. I got lots of fun presents. I got a make-up kit, some clothes for my doll and a book–but I already had it–so I will get something else.
Max got a really cool present. It is a thing called a Vectron that you fly in the air with a remote control.
Jonas, last week I read over 10 chapter books (all fairy tales..). They were great!!!!
Today I am going to the Simon’s for lunch. I will wave at your house.
Have fun in Australia,
Love,
Lily

Hi Jonas -
Did you find out if the toilets really do flush counterclockwise in the Southern Hemisphere? Inquiring minds want to know, i.e. moi.
Enjoy the holidays & we’ll see you in 2007. We miss you!
- Mrs. P
Dear Mrs Porcelli:
Sorry, its not Jonas, he’s not here now. To answer your question, the toilets and sinks and drains– they do go counterclockwise here. Even though people dont usually look at which way their toilets are flushing, we did notice!
have a happy new year and holiday season,
Greta Skagerlind.
